Give-away ceremony
The Native People have a teaching of sharing and it is during the powwow, we practice this teaching, we have a give-away ceremony to say Meegwetch/Thank You to all participants and visitors for their support of the Traditional Powwow. The dream of the powwow is for the commumity to partake in this ceremony by donating gifts.

Food donations
we need food donations during the powwow to feed the Drummers, Dancers, Elders, Seniors, Volunteers and whoever is in of nourishment. Prepared foods may be dropped off at any time during the powwow. Meegwetch.
Your help with the following food items would help so much. Some suggestions are: prepared foods such as stews, rolls, bannock, jam, fish, meats, chili and old favorites like potato and macaroni salads, pies, rice pudding always go down well, as do healthy fresh fruits, salads and vegetables. All would be greatly appreciated and so would special dishes suitable for people with Diabetes. This food would be added to the feast on Sunday.

Material Donations
We need the following:
Lumber 2" * 10" * 20'(20) to build seating structures for our visitors
Lumber 4" * 4" (20) to build kitchen facilities and shades for our Seniors
Lumber 2" * 4" (20)
6' Ladders
Flashlights

The Purpose of Giveaway and Feast is Sharing, the sharing of hospitality , sharing of gifts, sharing of food to everyone who attends, we hope that you help us by participating in this custom. |
